South Gare & Redcar Photography Workshop
Discover the dramatic coastline of South Gare and Redcar through a hands-on photography workshop designed to help you get the most out of your camera.
This workshop is ideal for beginners as well as those who already know their way around the basics but want to explore creative techniques and the art of visual storytelling.
We’ll meet around two hours before sunset and spend the evening photographing at a number of carefully chosen spots along the beach and South Gare. From industrial backdrops to sweeping seascapes, there will be multiple opportunities to practise, experiment, and refine your skills in varied settings as the light changes.
Each workshop can be tailored to your needs, whether you’d like to focus on:
Understanding your camera and its settings
Mastering composition and the use of light
Developing your creative eye
Learning storytelling techniques through images
About William
William has worked with most of the major camera systems, including Canon, Nikon, Fuji, and Leica. He primarily shoots digitally but often adapts vintage and analogue lenses to his digital setup, and can assist you with these techniques. His creative approach and methods have earned him shortlistings and commendations in multiple national and international photography competitions.
Requirements for the Day
Any camera you’d like to get to grips with (DSLR, mirrorless, or compact)
Warm clothing, depending on the weather conditions

£150 for one person
+£50 for each additional participant (up to 3 people total)
